vidioPod 4: A Random Day at the Beach
I will admit that I almost forgot to post this like I promised but here you are. This is a small (in size and length) video of Gilbert (my partner) and I at the beach. I edited down about 10 minutes of video into something short so you won't get too bored and so my internet bill won't suffer. (Remember: In this country, the Internet still costs over $100 a month for a decent connection and still that's not enough.)
So bitching aside, I'd like to introduce you to one of the local beaches here. And I'll also introduce you to one of the stupidest things I've said on camera. (I really didn't know exactly where I was but I had a good idea where I was. Honestly!)
You'll see clear water, my partner, rocks, signs and bad spelling of some graffiti.
Anyway, enjoy this 2 minute 31 second video if possible but I'll let you know it's better than the other ones by a long shot.
Ah and oh yes, you can easily get these little videos and my semi-regularly updated podcast downloaded to your iTunes by clicking this right now.

Cool to see your boyfriend in the video. He seemed sort of camera shy at first before a little prodding by you. Nicely built from what I could tell. I especially find video's like this interesting. I guess I really need to take my video camera out and about town also. Thanks Ben. Now I'm caught up on all your posts. Just keep doing what you do. I don't think you really need to change anything. Unlike Apple, it works.
Gilbert is adorable! My partner (Mr. X) is Japanese and after 11 years I still find him as cute as ever. It's not a Brad Pitt kind of cute, but a sweet and funny kind of cute. It's hard to describe. I think the song, "My Funny Valentine" describes it best.
Those are some jelly fish. Massive. But the water is beautiful.
Thanks for posting this! Take care.
Hey Mark, nice to see you! Gilbert is a bit of a cutie sometimes. He can be quite nice and really, when he's around, he can be a very good and emotionally available partner. I didn't really know that you've been with yours that long, congratulations! I tell people that I've been with mine as long as I have and their jaw drops. I think it's nice to see relationships last that long. What did you guys do for your 10 year anniversary? Anything exciting?
Funny, I used to sing "My Funny Valentine" on New Year's Eve. I liked the version that Chaka Khan did on the "Waiting to Exhale" soundtrack which used to be one of my favorite soundtracks to a movie ever.
I think you'll be happy when you see "Gold Dust" when it's done. It's a bit emotional so far. :) And thanks for watching!
Hæ, Nick. Yeah, I think I was a bit shocked to get him on camera. He is camera shy unless we're on vacation then he wants to take pictures of everything. So now you've seen him. I did feel like the version of this video that was posted online is too small in size. But the video my camera takes isn't the best either. It takes awesome pictures, but not so awesome videos.
I've been working on the website part of idioPod Extra #2 for the past few days. I am hoping to have it done by Friday.
Hey Ben,
I think Mr. X and I may have gone out to our favorite Japanese buffet for our 10th anniversary but that's about it. We're not big on celebrations or presents. Having him next to me at night is all the gift I need.
Relationships have highs and lows. Right now, we're in a quiet and contented time. Things have gotten better since I stopped drinking and being so moody.
Like Nick, I also can't think of anything to change about your podcast. Your audio quality is good. You podcast is unique to you and that's what I like about it.
Hi again Mark. Well that's good that you did something special together and your sappy sweetness is enough to prove that it was OK. :) And yes, thanks for the feedback, eh?
